Ingredients
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan halves or pieces (your preference)
1 (9 inch) store bought pie crust
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare crust as advised on packaging. This typically includes leaving at room temperature for about 15 minutes prior to placing in a pie pan. Transfer the crust to the pie dish and trim any excess. Crimp the edges.
In a medium sauce pan, combine butter, corn syrup, sugar, and cinnamon.
Heat over low temperature until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to let cool for about 5 minutes.
Add vanilla, eggs, and salt. Stir quickly to combine.
Pour mixture into prepared, but uncooked pie crust. Tap gently on countertop to remove air bubbles.
Top filling with pecans.
Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 50-55 minutes.
Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before refrigerating.
